We’ll also discuss the process of making your own starter.
Before the class, you’ll receive a video guide to making your own starter, if you need one to take part in the class. You’ll also receive a detailed list of ingredients and equipment, which will be kept as simple as possible.
How long will the class last?
Up to an hour and a half. There’ll be plenty of time to ask questions during the class.
You’ll receive a recording of the key steps followed in the class after the class ends, to follow along with at home when you bake again.
Where will the class be held?
On Zoom. This is free to access for class participants.
What if I can’t join a live class?
If you cannot make any of the class times and dates available, you can instead opt for a full step-by-step recording to follow at home in your own time. Simply select ‘Recording’ in the drop down menu above.
How much is the class?
£27 per person.
What will I need to take part in the class?
You will need an active rye flour sourdough starter. Your booking includes access to a step-by-step video guide to making your own. Please note that this process takes at least 5 days, with just a 10-minute step to complete each day.
You’ll need strong white bread flour, salt and water to bake your final dough.
You’ll also need bowls, scales, a loaf tin or proving basket and an oven.
